About the Villa
Rejuvenate your body and soul in complete seclusion and privacy at Villa Yin Yang. Situated on Kamala headland’s water edge, this spectacular half-acre site overlooks the breathtaking turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea.
Classic, soft-lined Thai design is mixed with the hard, crisp lines of modern design and luxury décor. Sleek materials such as dark hardwood terracing, marble and granite highlight the unique design statements introduced throughout the property: plate glass vanities and shower screens with pebble and bamboo inclusions, iridescent beaded bathtubs and glass stairways.
Villa Yang is spread over four different levels affording sea views from almost every room. The wooden ceilings reach up in line with the roofs, like a cathedral, giving a lovely spacious feeling to the interiors. All rooms are air-conditioned and feature ceiling fans and top-quality linens and mattresses.
The master bedroom has a large balcony and overlooks the pool out to sea. It features a large canopied four-poster bed and has an en-suite bath and shower, satellite TV and mini-bar. The main guest bedroom is located in its own building, perfect for a romantic couple seeking some privacy, or parents wanting just a little distance from their children. This room also features a four-poster bed, en-suite bath and shower and a cd/tape player.
Bedrooms three and four are located together in a separate building, and share a bathroom. They have twin beds which can either be used as singles or joined as double beds. These rooms are perfect for a family with smaller children who need to be in an adjoining room next to their parents. Downstairs in this building is also a "playroom", with TV, DVDs, Playstation, and many games and toys, suitable for occupying young minds until their parents are ready to surface. In this building are also the housekeeper's room and staff kitchen, ideally situated for baby-sitting duties. The housekeeper is very capable and quickly wins the adoration of even the youngest of children.
Dining
The upper level of the fourth building houses indoor dining for 6 people, outdoor dining for 6 people, and the living room, with TV and DVD player. Downstairs is a western style kitchen, sun room and another dining area for 6 on the balcony. The fully-equipped kitchen has an oven, microwave, huge fridge and industrial strength liquidizer (essential for those frozen margaritas).
Across from this building, on the main pool deck level below the master bedroom, is an alternative dining area with seating for up to 10 on a covered sandstone terrace which is open on three sides. These tables can also easily be set on the pool terrace with just a word in the housekeeper's ear, if you prefer to enjoy the balmy island evenings by dining al fresco.
Sala
The oceanfront sala, which comfortably seats 8 for cocktails, faces due west for an unforgettable view of the spectacular sunsets. In the daytime it can be set with cushions as a relaxing area to enjoy the sea breezes and the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks below.
Staff
The house has 3 full-time staff: the English-speaking housekeeper and cook, her assistant, and a pool cleaner/handyman.

Located on the southern headland of Kata beach, facing directly west, the villa is cool in the mornings and perfectly positioned to enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Kata beach, just 10 minutes walk away, is one of the most popular beaches on the island, with a gently sloping shoreline and pristine sands.
